Wren Hollis is not a real person. Well Made Plays invented this artist so we can show a complete deliverable at full size, with nothing blurred out, without putting a real client's career on the internet. The structure, the depth and the level of detail are exactly what you would receive. The name, the songs, the venues and the numbers are made up.

Well Made Plays · Career Strategy Intensive

The next ninety days, with dates on them

Wren Hollis · Dusty Alt-Country · Austin, Texas

Ninety minutes, then this. It is built around one thing you said in the session, which is that in sixty-two shows you have never once said it out loud. The clipboard has been on the merch table the whole time. It picks up whoever walks over on their own, which is about ten people a night out of forty-five, and nobody in that room has ever been told it is there. That answer reshaped most of what follows.

The question that carried the plan

"What happens to someone who loves the show?" The answer was that thirty-five of the forty-five go home and you never hear from them again. The next step exists, on a clipboard, four feet from where they are standing, and it is never pointed at. Everything in the first thirty days below exists to change that, because the room is already full and the audience is already there. Growing attention while most of it is not retained is the most expensive way to run a project.

01What we decided

Five forks came up. You called all five; the lean we brought is recorded next to each so you can see where you overruled us.

02The ninety days

Dated, and split by who does what. Nothing here needs money you do not have.

Weeks 1 to 219 Aug – 1 Sep
Say one sentence about the clipboard from the stage, August residency, 13 AugThe clipboard is already on the table. What is missing is you telling the room it is there. This is the whole intervention.

03The eighteen months

Direction rather than tasks. This part is expected to change; the ninety days is not.

04What came with the plan

Started, not blank. Each one is one working page, already filled in with your catalog and dates, so the plan above has somewhere to live from the first day. These are the starter versions; the full builds are separate services and the plan says where each one would earn its place.

Well Made Plays

This is a real deliverable, built at full size for a demonstration artist. Yours is built from your own catalog, numbers, and plans.
